The release of the new Pokémon Sword and Shield Crown Tundra DLC brings with it nine new Pokémon. Thankfully, finding and catching ‘em all is fairly straightforward.
Here's the best tips on how to catch all the new Pokémon in Crown Tundra easily and quickly.
Calyrex
The legendary Calyrex will reveal itself to you early on, giving you several tasks to complete, including gathering information from the villagers and searching for its trusty steed.
Once you’ve run Calyrex’s errands, it will invite you to the Crown Shrine for a chance to battle it alongside its steed (more below).
Calyrex is at level 80 so you’ll want to have a strong team and plenty of Poké Balls ready.
Glastrier and Spectrier
Catching Calyrex earns you its trusty steed as a bonus. However, which horse you end up with depends on where you planted the carrot seeds to initially attract it.
Planting seeds in the Old Cemetery will grow Shaderoot Carrots, attracting the Psychic/Ghost-type Spectrier.
Iceroot Carrots are gained from planting the seeds in the soil around Snowside Slope, attracting the Psychic/Ice-type Glastrier.
Whichever horse you attract is the one Calyrex will use in battle against you later, so choose carefully. The other horse never appears.
Regidrago and Regieleki
To catch these two new Regis you must travel to three temples around the Crown Tundra, solve the puzzles to get inside, and catch Regirock, Regice, and Registeel.
Having all three opens the entrance to Split-Decision Ruins. Inside, step on the panels to light them up in the pattern matching the Regi—either Dragon-type Regidrago or Electric-type Regieleki—you want to catch.
Look above the temple’s entrance to see the patterns. You only get one Pokémon per playthrough.
Galarian Articuno, Zapados, and Moltres
In the middle of Ballimere Lake you’ll see three familiar-looking birds around a huge tree. On spotting you, they’ll take off for parts unknown.
The Psychic/Flying-type Galarian Articuno doesn’t go far. Search the immediate area and you’ll stumble across the bird flying around.
When you get close it will try to trick you with multiple illusions. The real one will wave its wing, signaling the one you should touch to engage in battle.
Travel to the Wild Area to see Galarian Zapdos, a Fighting/Flying-type, stomping about. Hop on your bike and simply chase it down. Don’t be discouraged by its speed. Eventually it will tire out and let you overtake it.
Galarian Moltres can be found flapping around the Isle of Armor. It’s too fast to chase, but here’s a trick: the Flying/Dark-type respawns in the same spot—just to the left of the Master Dojo—every time you fly to a new location.
To make things quick, fly to the dojo and make a beeline forward to immediately cut off Moltres’ flight path.
Galarian Slowking
Like Galarian Slowbro before it, you’ll need a Galarian Slowpoke and 15 Galarica Twigs, which can be found scattered around the bases of trees by Ballimere Lake.
After gathering them, head across the Frigid Sea to the Roaring Sea Cave. The NPC there will weave them together for you into a Galarian Wreath.
Give the wreath to Slowpoke to evolve it into the Psychic/Poison-type Galarian Slowking.
